HELPING SOLDIERS HEAL IN COMMUNITY SLCEC is supporting the partnership between Midvale City, Utah and the Integrative Health Network in collaboration with the Veterans Association to mentor self, family and community healing relating to veterans in community who have returned from the Iraq war. Conversation circles and other integral approaches are being utilized. This is a model being developed as a prototype for a deeper interface between communities and the VA throughout the United States.
VISION HEALTH CARE UTAH 2010 SLCEC is providing partnering support to the Utah Hospital Association in convening all major stakeholders in Utah health care in Utah as well as sponsoring dialogues at the grass roots of many Utah communities. A vision is being created of an ideal for health care in Utah in 2010 and working groups are working on integral public policy alternatives for achieving the Vision
TURNING TO ONE ANOTHER FOR COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS SLCEC is partnering with the Berkana Institute to convene a group of over 100 people to explore how all effective community preparedness is grounded individual awareness grounded in relationships connected in turn to systems and resources. This is a pilot project which may be replicated en mass. |
